Renovation Giveaway #5 - Strips... (Winner Announced)

Life has been busy here lately with quilting, cleaning, painting and some cat training (which is not going well!)  I had intended to start this giveaway earlier, but blogging and computer time have suffered from a lack of time.

Just as I found that I wasn't using my collection of charm squares, I'm finding the same is true of my 2.5" strips.  So I'd like to find a new home for them.  I've been collecting them for years - some have come from swaps and others from the scraps at the end of a project.  You can see that I obviously favor some colors over others.  FYI - Although the strips will go to a new home, I'm going to keep the containers!

Renovation Giveaway #2 - Very Charming... (Winner Announced)

If you've followed along with me for a while, you know I have a thing for charm squares.  Carrie Nelson has come out with a multitude of Schnibbles patterns (which use 2 Charm Packs) and Me & My Sisters Designs have written 3 Times the Charm! and 3 Times the Charm, Book 2 (which use a single Charm Pack).   And over the years I've 'collected' both Charm Packs and individual charm squares and I have a large number of each.  In fact, here's my collection of current collection of individual 5" charms...

I haven't counted them, but I'm guessing there must be well over 1000 here.  Unfortunately, although I'm collecting them, I'm not using them, so hard as it is, I'm letting them go to a new home.

To give you an idea of scale, each bin is 13" long.  Just to be clear though, I'm giving away the fabric, not the bins!

Although my posting has slowed down a little lately, I'm still plodding along here.  In fact, I managed to finish painting the kitchen ceiling today.  Whew!  I'm SO glad to be done with that task.  Only a couple more painting jobs and I can take a break.  I'm also working on several quilts right now and hope to have another top completed in the next day or two.  I'll share pictures once I hit that point.

Giveaway Time!

As I mentioned in my last post, June 12th marked the 2 year anniversary of my blog.  In that time, I have met people I would never have known otherwise and made some wonderful friends.  And I love, love, love having this 'journal' to look back on.  I so easily forget what I've accomplished over time and I'm always surprised when I look back at it.

So in honor of this milestone, I'm going to have a giveaway.  Of course, it's quilting related - as I believe that's what most of my readers are interested in.  I have 2 prizes for you.  The first is a Reverse Applique quilt kit called Herd of Turtles by Pacific Rim Quilt Company.

All Sizes...

Just as people come in all different sizes, apparently cats do too.

I would love to get a picture of all 4 of the cats together (they're really all different sizes), but I don't see them ever being that cooperative.  Jack (on the right) is 12.5 lbs and David (on the right) is currently 22 lbs!
