Officially a Snow Day...

Well the forecasters were right and it's snowing big, fat fluffy flakes outside my window right now.  It's coming down fast and we've gotten several inches in the past couple of hours.  Meanwhile, I've been working a little bit on my Tickle quilt as well as puttering with a few other things.  I now have all my blocks ready to be assembled.

The fabric I'm using is Happy Go Lucky by Bonnie & Camille.  It's just so bright and cheerful and I love every print in it!

Gabriel is loving the falling snow.  When I stepped outside to quickly take a picture, she darted out and started sprinting around the yard.  What a goofball!

The snow is supposed to turn to ice late tonight before turning back into snow tomorrow.  The forecasters seem to think widespread power outages are likely due to the ice, but I'm just going to pray that they're wrong and only the fluffy stuff sticks around!

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

    What a silly dog!
Snow always makes everything look so pretty but I don't like the cold.
    Stay warm!

  2. I thjnk your area might have gotten a little more snow than we did... and we have the layer of ice from the sleet on top of ours this morning. Our power went off some time after 4 this morning. Butch got up and turned on the gas logs so our main living area would stay somewhat comfortable.. You could feel the heat from the box within 30 minutes. Close to 2 hours later the power came back on but it has already blinked so I am not holding out hope that it stays on... Just crossing all 10 fingers and toes that it does stay on. :)

Butch bought a treadle sewing machine at an auction years ago... I think I am going to have it looked at to see if it works.. That would give me something to sew on should we lose power like this due to weather. There is wall space in the Alabama room for it.

Stay safe and warm down there!
